Guadalcanal Memoir. My Father’s account of his service during WW II.

Dad, The Author

Yes, my Father was a soldier during WWII. In 1980, at my request, he wrote this account of his experiences in the Pacific while he was recovering from a stroke. The act of writing was therapeutic, but the experience also motivated him to reconnect with old war buddies and to become actively involved in a veteran’s group. He made a steady but hard earned recovery. And I was thankful to have a second chance to get to know him.
